The tea rooms are absolutely delighted to welcome back Sarah Miller joined by Dan Machin.
Sarah and Dan have toured Europe and the U.K. extensively, delighting audiences wherever they go. The Duo play hits from all Genres spanning the entire Twentieth century to the present day. They are accomplished, gifted and experienced performers.
Sarah started her career in music at seventeen, recording her first studio session with ‘The Climax Blues band’. She then joined her first band a few months later, touring the UK and was signed to The Chrysalis label.
Her versatile voice and extensive range has secured her place on many popular recordings, including sessions with Pete Wylie & the Mighty Wah, and members of Simply Red. She appeared on Oceanic’s number two hit ‘Insanity’ and the Christian’s latest album ‘Prodigal Sons’. Her recent recording credits include a featured vocal on the Robbie Williams track ‘Break America’ and backing vocals for the critically acclaimed Long Dead Sevens C.D. ‘The White Waltz & other Stories’. Sarah’s musical influences include: - Joni Mitchell, Billie Holliday, Kate Bush, Chrissie Hynde, Ella Fitzgerald, James Taylor, and Aretha Franklin. Sarah’s most memorable gigs include backing vocals for Tony Christie at the 12,000 seater stadium ‘Shleyerhalle’ Stuttgart, and, singing live on Radio, New Years eve 2008.
Dan began his musical career as a pianist although soon progressed to the guitar, and we are glad he did, he produced and recorded his first album at the age of sixteen. He has been musical director for many theatre productions and lectures in guitar.
